pop-ups do not work!!!

when ever i click on a link to a place, such as a yahoo
chess room, the pop up window does appear, but it does not
load the page and it will not allow me to right click or
anything. I guess it freezes, but under task manager, it
says it is running. My computer is not affected in the
least, nor the other Internet Explorer windows, just the
one that is the pop-up. The only thing I am able to do to
the pop up is close it. Everything works with netscape so I
am assuming its an IE browser problem. I am stumped, any ideas?
