pop-up stopper free edition

I use googles toolbar it works great. I use to use popup stoppers free
version with no problems but they changed it and I did not like the changes
I noticed they removed a lot of the features from the old free version.


I use a combination of the HOSTS file, MyIE2, and BHODemon. I haven't seen a
popup in months. BHODemon prevents the nastiest kinds of popups and browser
hijackers at the source, which is the Browser Helper Objects (BHO)

I second that, and the search feature is handy. I also use a
fairly extensive HOSTS file.

Now all I fight at a few sites are extremely intrusive FLASH ads
that, in some cases, block content, can't be closed, or continue
to pop up again when cursor moves over a hot spot.

For those of you that like Netscape, Mozilla has a popup stopper built
in. Those of you that like IE, you probably won't like Mozilla.
