pop-up message "Device connection to channel 1"

One of my users reported that the message "device
connection to channel 1" (or "device connected to channel
1", I'm not quite sure) was poped up once every two or
three weeks. Does anyone know what caused the message and
what to do to fix it?

Do they use a wireless mouse or keyboard? These can pop up that
message, usually only when the connect button is pressed on both the
mouse (or keyboard) and the receiver...
