Periodically I will get a pop-up login window when
visiting a web site. It is often prefilled with login ids
that have previously been used from this computer.

Question: how do I delete those no longer being used from
the list?

Thanks,
Mike

Thanks - I've tried that. It only removes it so that I
can type or choose another login ID. But, it doesn't
totally remove it from the list. I have three or four IDs
in the list that I would like to permanently delete.

Go to internet options..content tab..autocomplete button and you can
clear forms and passwords there.

You may be misinterpreting what Henri meant.
Select the item in the list and press Delete.
(E.g. delete the contents of the input box, press CursorDown
until the target item is selected and then press Delete.)

That is the same procedure you would use to delete any item
from an AutoComplete for Forms list in any ordinary form field.
The difference when you do that for a field which is associated
with a userid for login is that you will get a prompt informing you
that you will be deleting a userid/password pair.
