Hello,
I am trying to find a way to show a hyperlink, text box or some kind of
pop-up if a user was to click on a link on a powerpoint slide.

However, I don't want to use a regular hyperlink because I don't want to
take the user away from the slide they are on, but just for the textbox or
link to appear on that slide. That is, I want to create "pop-ups" when users
select links.

Thankyou to anyone who can help me, I hope I am explaining this clearly!

There's a tutorial on Pop Ups triggers here

NB you cannot make the trigger a section of text like a hyperlink. Place a
transparent shape over the text.
