Pop down window when typing URL

Needs Help

When I start type my URL, like normal, a list of old
URL's comes down in a drop down window with similar
names. Its starting to bug me, as some sites that I
havent accessed in a very long time remain there, after I
deleted all my temp files, many IE files, cookies,
internet history, offline history and temporary internet
files. I searched my harddrive for the URL and parts of
the URL to no avail.

Can I somehow delete these sites? How?

If you can't awnser that, then can I disable the popdown
window? How?

If you can't awnser any of these, then please tell me,
where can I find help?

As Alan mentioned = turn off AutoComplete
