POP Client notification sink

When I shutdown my computer, I get an error box that says this and I have to
choose to End Program before my computer will shut down. Anyone know what
this is and how I can fix it?

It sounds like you have some sort of Desktop Alert software running. Turn it
off before you shut down since it apparently doesn't exit gracefully.

Desktop Alert? Hmmm, not anything that I know of, but possibly something I
don't know of - how could I check?

Look in your Start Menu, in Add/Remove Programs. You should know what you
installed. If not, then perhaps you have malware. Make sure the computer is
completely virus/malware free:
