When changing motherboards and video cards, you need:

1) Install/re-install the latest available chipset drivers. This is to get
the correct drivers for most the the motherboard devices (IDE, IRQs, USB) and
especially the AGP slot drivers (or PCI Express???).

2) Locate, download and install the latest video card drivers, from the
manufacturer's web site. The drivers are updates at regular intervals since
there are possible "known" issues with the "play-backs."

I have recently had a motherboard crash and had to replace th
motherboard, and also replaced the hard drive, as well as the vide
card. However, when i replaced the video card, (I had previously had
256MB) I replaced it with a 128MB to save money, don't ask me why i wa
so stupid... it's a long story... Now whenever I try to watch video o
Windows Media Player, or DivX, i get really pathetic playback, th
actual video runs fine, there are no issues with sound, the video i
just very bright and makes the videos not worth watching, i know i
isn't the files themselves, as when i copy them over to a friend
computer, they play fine. I don't really think that 128MB is reall
that bad, as it seems to play the video fine, it's just all the colour
that are wrong...could it be settings? and if so which ones do i change
can anyone help me please!

If you want a quick solution just change the display settings in the
player to lower the brightness and fix the colors, windows media player
has a really easy one to use its an equilizer.
