I am very disappointed by this "newsgroup." Yes, nobody
gets paid to respond, etc, etc. but there are very few
responses so I guess you get what you pay for. Not sure
why this newsgroup exists, and I will not return. $.S.
should do a better job, or junk this group all together.

There are hundreds of questions answered in this newsgroup every day.

I think that the problem is the tool that you're using to read the
newsgroup. The web-based news reader is badly designed and makes it
very hard to find replies to questions.

I strongly recommend using a news reader program, like Forte Agent or
Microsoft Outlook Express, to access the newsgroup. The name of
Microsoft's news server is msnews.microsoft.com. Try clicking on this

Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group
for everyone to see. I'm sorry, but I don't answer questions
addressed directly to me in E-mail or news groups.

I agree Patrick.
Whats the point of a specialist news group with no
feedback?
Go ahead folks...chat away to no-one

Any reason to use...
msnews.microsoft.com
... instead of..
news.microsoft.com ?

Probably not. I've used msnews.microsoft.com for years and, in fact,
I've never heard of news.microsoft.com before. But they both seem to
work.
