Poor graphics performance

Hi,

I've bought a new graphics, Radeon HD 3870. The problem is, that it have
poor performance. I found, that HW Interrupts takes about 40 % of CPU. I
think there is not problem with PIO, because every other graphics is going
well and this graphics goes good on other PC (I have ASUS A8R-MVP with Athlon
64 X2 4800+ here) too.

It is doing this on Win XP and XP x64 as well. I tried to reinstall x64 and
found, that it doesn't do this until I install SP2 (last installation was
only with SP1 and updates and did the same, so maybe some update which is in
SP2 too is doing this). But I don't want to be without SP2 and updates...so,
any idea how to solve this thing ?

I have latest HW drivers and BIOS; Catalyst 8.3 with Czech CCC.

Have you tried a different Catalyst Driver? Try reading some of the

Yes, v. 7.11.

(You know, computers are my bread and butter, but things like this with
unknown reason, which many guru cannot solve, are driving me crazy...I wrote
to one forum yeasterday, today I wrote here, to AMD and ASUS.)

So, one guy told me, that I should disable ATi HD sound and...yes ! It is OK
