For the registrars that offer low priced domains in the $6.95/year range
like GoDaddy, Web.com, and others, does anyone have any stories about any
issues or things to be aware of? Will it be easy to transfer if needed?
Any "other" charges should be aware of? Do simple hosting plans have
registrar banners/ads? Do you thing the big players like NetSol for
~$35.00/yr safer bet?

Would appreciate a few responses from "great experience" to whatever.
Thanks.

I looked into those so called domain registries that were
dirt cheap. There were all kinds of caveats when you get
into the area where you need to pay for them. I ended up
going through a company called Mondexhosting.com. They
charge $15 or so per year. Also, you cand get your web
space from them. If you ask them right, they will give
you unlimited EVERYTHING for life for just a $30 set up
charge. I have been using it for a year. There are
growing pains, like with any of the places offering the
attractive specials, but of late they have been few and
far between. :::knock on wood::: Feel free to email me
if you have questions, or need more information.
