Hi, yesterday I got w3.polipos, who messed my pc; I had avast installed, and
it was imprepared to the infection, although it segnaled it, so avast (I
think) destroyed the exe which was infected by the virus. Then, after many
searches on google, I found dr.web, which cured many problems, but many
issues previously caused, remained, then I installed pccillin.
I don't know what is missed precisely; I know, for example, that the
association between html files and explorer is brocken. It is there a way to
repair the problems caused by this infection? (I tried with system restore,
but it doesn't work).

This is a very complex and very advanced polymorphic file infector. You need to seek expert
assistance since it roots itself in many Win32 processes.

Dave,

Sorry for the intrusion, but if you haven't seen this I thought that
you might find it interesting.
