Policy not staying enforced

Steve

I have set up a group policy on a user that limits
playing games etc. When I first logon as that user the
policy applies with no problem. However after a period of
time I go back to check and the policy is no longer in
effect until I reboot the machine again. What could be
causing this machine to loose its group policy settings?

Thanks in advance,

Steve

Check the event log after related events, may the particular client can't
refresh the policy at the refresh interval and lose the settings.

Also, if the users that are receiving the GPOs have admin control over their
box, they can actually hack the Registry to allow access. this is a flaw
with GPOs, in that if the GPO does not sense that the settings have changed
from the version that was last applied, it won't apply it again. So, I
always suggest to force the application of GPOs, even if no settings have
changed. This is especially needed for settings that affect software
settings and security settings.
