Major blunder on my part. I set up a new policy in AD to
tighten down a group of users and set the Do Not Override.
Long story short - the policy is being applied to the
Domain Admins as well. I am not restricted from a variety
of tasks, including opening AD.
Question - I can use Explorer and find POLs in the sysvol
structure. I also discovered that I can open and view them
in MS Excel; however, I do not understand the entries.
What would happen if I simply renamed or deleted the newly
created POLs (identified by file date) and log off, then
back on? Is there a way to regain full admin access?
