I am looking to set up some permissions for a folder in which students can
turn in assignments. What I want them to be able to do is this. Access to
the folder in which they can drag and drop assignments(this file folder is
located on a shared network drive). Yet as soon as the document has been
turned in the students cannot retrieve it, open it , delete it or modify it.

Right now they have the ability to drag it to the folder, open while it is
in the folder, change the file while it is in the folder, change the title of
the document and delete the file...arghh..I don't know what do to.

Try giving the students group just "write" NTFS permissions for the folder,
your account and administrators full control, and remove everyone/users
groups. If you are unsure of how to set NTFS permissions see the link below.
