Pointing a domain name to a folder (missing themes?)

I have a web site where I have three domain names
pointing to my main index page. I have a fourth domain
name that I have had point to a folder within my
website. When the this has been done the pages are
missing some of the "theme" elements. What do I need to
do to get the theme elements to be properly displayed?

Need to be a subweb with it own theme and navigation.
