Question to pointer single click

How to make the mouse function with a single click instead of double? thanks
 
In an explorer window, like "Computer", hold down the Alt key, then click
the Tools/Folder options menu. In the dialog under General there is a Click
items as follows choice. Use "single click to open an item".
