Point of Style?

Hi

I think this is a general question of style although it may be more. I have
a fairly sequential form based application. Should I be returning from each
form to and launching others from a holding form, or else should I be
launching forms on top of each other.

What approaches have other taken to this? What are the resource consequences
of the second approach?
