Many moon ago I had a lovely little point of sale (DOS) freeware program but
sadly, it wasn't Y2K compatible.

I am looking for something that will take care of inventory and sales, while
keeping a customer list, product list, etc., the whole enchilada.

It would be nice if it were DOS based instead of the infamous Wind-Bloat-Os,
but beggars can't be choosers, ya know.

Any tips, beloved fellow acf ers?

I think there are a bunch of these (in the form of open-source) at
SourceForge.net!

For instance, there is PythonPOS & JavaPOS[
http://sourceforge.net/projects/pyproject/ ], L'anePOS [
http://sourceforge.net/projects/l-ane/ ], GnuPOS [
http://sourceforge.net/projects/gnupos/ ], or Point-of-Sales
(Java) [ http://sourceforge.net/projects/possqlledger/ ].

I don't know what you need, but I hope that helps.
