Pofile Problem help!

When users logon they can only see blank screen. After
several minutes I would say 3-5minutes and then their
profile come up. It looks like everything is ok until they
try to save any word or excel documents on the network.
The computer will be freeze and they cannot do anything.

Our clients run on Windows XP Pro and Win2k. The profile
is saved on their local settings drive:\documents and
settings\......No script or group policy running. We have
a single windows 2000 domain.

Please help...
 
Had a similar problem occur some time back but with
roaming profiles. Nothing to do with the profiles. Recall
it had to do with DNS and the RR for the PC. Good way to
check, open Users & Computers on a server and see if you
can manage one of the affected PCs.
 
What do you mean DNS and the RR(?) for the pc?
