Can they open up natively in XP or does one need Active Sync? Reason why I
ask is because I am sending sensitive documents to an individual from my HPC
that I wont risk printing or faxing. I password protect my docs and want to
make sure that they open in the recepitants XP PC.

Thanks,

John

IIRC, they open on a non-Activesync PC without a problem.
I used to e-mail Pocket Excel spreadsheets to my employees who didn't own
a PPC (or use Activesync, obviously) and it was never an issue.

I wont risk printing these files, and I dont want others to see them. I am
not breaking any laws, but Church Education Resource Ministries
(www.cerm.info) has stirred the feathers of Satan's servants, and if they
found the files they would use them against my ministry.

The bold Bible preaching and bold exposing of error has made Satan's
servants angry. As a result I have many enemies, and it wouold not surprise
me if the devil's disciples have hacked my email.

Thanks and I hope the person will be able to receive and view the files.

Um, good luck with that... I'm not a very religious man, But I suspect
that Satan, if he exists outside of Dante's works, could probably get
through a simple password if he really needed to...

Um, ok. Good luck and Godspeed with your DaVinci code there, John...

Answered your similar Excel question above. Didn't realize that you were on
a HPC. Don't recall off-hand if they had the 'Save As' to xls/doc options,
but I think they did.

He occasionally chides people for posting HPC questions to PPC groups
and vice versa but doesn't seem to mind posting his own questions to
both.

Both the HPC and the PocketPC use the same formats.

Mike you are not a Windows expert, a PPC expert nor a HPC expert. Your an
entry level mac expert.

Both the HPC and the PPC use the same formats and deal with the same
software.

I resolved my problem and will just use RFE to create password protect .zip
files after I convert the files.

Nor have I ever claimed to be one.

Incorrect. My expertise extends well beyond entry level, and you know
that perfectly well. Why would you say something you know to be untrue?

That's as may be, but my statement was correct. You _have_ chided
people for posting HPC questions to PPC groups and vice versa. Do you
deny this?

Incorrect. My expertise extends well beyond entry level, and you know

It may be in your area, but here in Silicon Valley what you offer is
entry level if lower. When I lived in redding I can say that your
experience was beyond entry level, but not in Silicon valley.

Around here many companies want you to network, program, or do other
things that you cannot for entry level jobs. I have applied to many and
many require networking certifications, and programming experience for
their entry level jobs.

However this is not saying that I have not found $20 an hour jobs
offering what you do and less. But such jobs seem to be a dime a dozen
(at least on Craigs List).

One job advertised was help desk ($20 an hour) and they wanted the
applicants to have little or no experience. I was overqualified.

Not many employers will tell you this, but last week I got a call from
one in Menlo Park and he told me directly that I had too much experience
for the job. He was rare, but I suspect there have been others that
would agree, but they wont ever tell me this.

I think I am going to have to extend my job search beyond Craigs List
and Hotjobs. Gotta try the other websites, newspapers, yellow pages,
networking, and other avenues for job searching. heck I even ran into a
company that still use a telephone number to list jobs, and you can
apply for the job over the phone. Rare....

That's as may be, but my statement was correct. You _have_ chided

I post questions since both deal with the same issues.

Since you know I'm not in Silicon Valley, why did you say something that
you know is absolutely irrelevant?

Do you think that saying such things about me changes the fact that you
_HAVE_ criticized others in the past for doing what you think it's okay
for you to do yourself now?

My mistake I was not thinking there.

He's out there, but just as God currently limits his own actions mostly to
going through people, he places the same limits on the opposition.
