Have any of you had experience with Pocket PC's? I've recently bought the Casio E-125 (for £170) and I think its great :D

It can watch videos, play MP3's, and have some pretty good handwriting recognition!

I love my iPAQ

I have an iPAQ 3630 PocketPC, and it's becoming more useful every day.

I would like to upgrade it to PPC2002, but for some strange reason, Comcrap... oops.... meant Compaq... oops meant HP :D have pulled the upgrade offer.

I use it for mail, schedule, notes, mp3's, some video, and MS Reader.

One word of advice i would give to anyone considering purchasing a Pocket PC... Get the biggest Compact Flash card you can afford for it. When one of these babies runs out of power, you lose everything in the main memory, so having CF storage is a must.

Yeah, I use the same sort of apps on it too... I got a 370 Meg Microdrive for it, that was really handy - but its not as fast access, Quake wouldnt run quite as well from it, but I could store large DivX files.

E-Bay use to have the upgrade kits for about £20 not too long ago? Might be worth a look

Yes - I have a PPC - Compaq H3800, and it's great! 64MB of Ram, easy to use, plays Quake ;) and sim city amongst other things. Also has an impressive early sega mega drive emulator you can download. Good for taking notes on in lectures and listening to MP3s..... also good for solitare in lectures!!

And would it be impertinent for one to ask where on the information super highway, one would aquire said quake ?

8) :D

Used to have a Acer N50 or something....
Now I just use my PSP for everything :D
