I like Tombo. It is a pc and ppc pair; you can copy databases back
and forth (or use synchronize, I guess).

I tried it today. Is there a way to use the already available notes
with Tombo? Or some way to import them to the Tombo datastore?

Will they still be synchronized with outlook? Are they decryptable in
outlook then?

If not, is there a free PPC software that:
- encrypts notes
- uses outlook synchronizable notes

For a Palm, I had such a soft, only drawback, it was not decryptable
in outlook.

Tombo is simply text files in folders, so to "import" notes you just have
to copy the text files to the correct folders. Easy!

Well, I tried to set the "My Documents" Folder of my Pocket PC as the
Tombo Root. But the files there (created with outlook and synchronized
before) were not shown.

I do it a different way - Relying on "synchronize" features instead of
Outlook features.

1. In ActiveSync, add "Files" to the list of synchronized items on your
PC. This will default to a folder (e.g. .....\My Documents\Pocket_PC My
Documents)
2. In that folder, place your .chs file.
3. Point PC Tombo to that file/folder. Your PC copy of Tombo will now
maintain that copy.
4. Copy that file to your PPC folder \My Documents\. Point your PPC
Tombo to that file.
5. From now on, Synchronize will synchronize those files.
6. After a while, you'll be comfortable enough to use a different folder
on the PC (e.g. encrypted container) in which to place all "sensitive"
information for synchronization. :-)

Tombo only works with text files. I'm not sure whether Outlook notes are
synchronised as text files. For real text files, it should work well.

Thank you for the description. I'll try that.
