Running Vista Ultimate. Have a Toshiba e740 Pocket PC. I see the device in
device manager, but not in Sync Center. I tried installing ActiveSync 4.5
but installation fails - the software doesn't run on Vista.

I downloaded Mobile Device Center from MS... still no luck.

What do I need to do in order to sync?

Thanks,
Ron

"Windows Mobile Device Center enables you to set up new partnerships,
synchronize content and manage music, pictures and video with any Windows
Mobile 2003 powered device or later. Windows Mobile Device Center is only
supported on Windows Vista. "
"Limited support for devices prior to Windows Mobile 2003
Devices prior to Windows Mobile 2003 are presented with an error message
saying that they are not supported by Windows Mobile Device Center. You will
still be able to browse your device, copy media files and upload pictures.
However, you will not be able to use the full desktop sync functionality. "

I have the same problem with a Dell Axim X5, also running MICROSOFT Pocket PC
2002. I don't expect MICROSOFT to maintain compatibility with everyone
else's products as new operating systems are developed, but I do expect them
to maintain compatibility with their own. Question to Microsoft is thus,
"when can we expect an update to Mobile Center that allows full functionality
with MICROSOFT Pocket PC 2002?"
