Pocket Excel vlookup function

I have Pocket Excel on my pocket pc.

I saved a Excel 97 file to it that had a vlookup function
in it. The VLOOKUP function works fine on my desktop
using Excel 97.

The function only gives me the #VALUE! error in Pocket
Excel.

I setup a new spreadsheet in Pocket Excel to trouble
shoot.

I used the function =VLOOKUP(A6:A6,A1:D3,3)
this function only returns the error #VALUE!

If I enter the function =VLOOKUP(2,A1:D3,3)
then this works and looks up the correct value.

Any idea why Pocket Excel will not accept A6:A6

Thanks,

I don't know about Pocket XL, but why use A6:A6 in the first place ?
Try using a single A6 in your Pocket XL and see if that works.

Just because A6:A6 works on a desktop, doesn't mean that it isn't redundant
there also.

I get a similar problem, but with Excel 2000. When I type in the lookup
value it works fine, but when I use a cell reference I get "#N/A".

It definitely makes the formula not as useful because I have to type the
value in each cell (which is easier than looking up and comparing the value
manually, but it definitely takes many times longer).
