Poblems with Maxtor 6Y160PO.

I have a Maxtor 6Y160PO. It's a 160 GB ATA disk. It wasn't in DMA mode on my old computer. Then I bought a new computer (Not only for the disk :) ) and it was in DMA. But yesterday I looked in the device maneger and it was again in PIO. :mad: :eek: So my drive again works slower. What could this cause? How can I solve this? :confused:

Have you changed any options or updated your BIOS recently?

You may need to install some drivers specific to your motherboard chipset, such as the Intel ones with the "Application Accelerator" software (as these do some tinkering with drive modes).
