PNTMAIN.EXE has encountered a problem and needs to close

Recently whenever I click on PC-Cillan (my anti virus
software) which is on my desktop, I get the following
error message: "pntmain.exe has encountered a problem and
needs to close. Sorry for the inconvenience". Then it
states that I can send an error report to Microsoft (which
I did several times). I never had a problem with this
software before. I need to use Pc-cillan because it's my
virus software. I ran the Pc-cillan virus scan on
Wednesday night and after that is when the problem started.

That file is associated with PC-Cillan. Try uninstalling / reinstalling
the program or contact their tech support.

Just experienced the same problem as Sharon. Ran 2 online anti-viruses
(2 trojan-type viruses were reported), and uninstalled/resintalled
PC-cillin 2000 that came with my Sony Vaio and stil getthing the same
error message "PNTMAIN.EXE has encountered a problem and needs to
close". Any clue of what I should try next besides tech support?
