I've bought myself a Seagate 320GB External HDD (USB 2.0 - 8MB cache if
relevent) which i've plugged into my computer. It's supposed to just plug
and go, however the machine is throwing up a window saying "WINDOWS NEEDS TO
INSTALL DRIVER SOFTWARE FOR YOUR SEAGATE EXTERNAL DRIVE".
Of course, the drive didn't come supplied with a CD as Seagate said it
should plug and play. Eventually it says it cannot find the drivers and
throws up the following failure reason :
Problem signature:
Problem Event NamenPDriverNotFound
Architecture: x86
Hardware Id: USB\VID_0BC2&PID_0503&REV_0300
OS Version: 6.0.6000.2.0.0.768.3
Locale ID: 2057
Does anyone know of a cure so I don't have to return it.
Thanks in advance
