hello !
Can anybody help me in deleting this virus??
The file is C:\WINDOWS\system32\pmnmn.dll

No antivirus has been able to erase it!
Even restarting in save mode with shell prompt, I was not able to delete
it. The output of the "del" command says that the file is used by the
system and it can't be deleted but the command "tasklist /M pmnmn.dll"
reports no task is using this dll file.
So my friend :) what can I do now???
Please Help!

JT

Use this removal tool for winfixer only run it in safe
mode. If it does not work then you need to run hijackthis and post a log
file. Send your log file to the group listed below as the people here will
freak-out if they see a hjt log file posted here.

delete it under safe mode. Modules aren't loaded, hence the file isn't in
use.
Make sure it needs to be deleted. I'd prefer to change its extention first.

Yes
I've already tried. I cannot delete it or rename it even under safe mode.
The command output says that the dll file is used by another program, but
actually "tasklist" doesn't show any task using it !! I don't know why!

See if there is a registry entry, and if so, delete it first, then
you can probably delete the file. When you open the registry editor
(regedit) in the "run" box , select "edit" then "find" on the dropdown
menu.
Check all the checkboxes, type in "pmnmn.dll" (no quotes)and click "find
next".

Hello,

I checked our database, and we do have that file listed, so you may wish to
try Super Ad Blocker with SUPERAntiSpyware:
http://www.superadblocker.com

Super Ad Blocker | SUPERAntiSpyware offers several unique features such as
using a system level driver to delete detected items, so pests do not come
back once detected and cleaned.

Super Ad Blocker offers a fully functional 15-day trial. You can scan and
clean your computer and then remove Super Ad Blocker if you do not wish to
keep it. We do appreciate when users support our development efforts by
purchasing the product :)

If that does not find and/or remove the spyware/adware on your machine, you
can submit a diagnostic and I will diagnose your machine for free and post
the results back to the group and update our rules with anything found:

It is started as a "service" with "system" status privileges. Use
something like MoveOnBoot or Killbox, to get rid of it.
