Hi,

i am trying to access the access 2002 database table from
my asp page. but when i am try to insert or update the
table. one more file is created "Microsoft Access Record-
Locking Information" with same database name. its
extension ldb file. so i cannt execute the insert
command. for using select command no problem.

how to solve this.
pls help me.

But i have given all the permission to me. then i dont
know why i cannt access that.

It is a good idea to not change the subject within a thread.

That will happen if the file has permissions which are different that the

Hi,

Thanks for the info. Sorry for change the subject line.
mistakenly i have placed my email id in subject. so that
i have changed.

do u have any other idea for solve this problem. bcos i
have to create dll and place it in my server.i dont know
my client allow me to place the dlls.thats the prob i
asking is it any other idea to solve this prob. if any
pls help me.

Can you insert the same record via Access that you are attempting to insert via ASP? I'm
wondering if you might be running up against a duplicate index problem.

Other than that, I really don't have any further suggestions. The .LDB file is to be
expected. When you have exited Access, and you are not accessing the data via ASP, the
locking database file should be automatically deleted. If it remains, then try deleting
it with Windows Explorer.
