Hello There,

I want to upgrade to Win Vista,

I currently have Intel D845GVS1 motherboard and Intel Pentium 4 2.4GHz (mPGA
478) processor(without HT ) with 256mb(DDR) of RAM. I want a motherboard
which should have these things :

1. It should support my Pentium4 2.4GHz processor

2. Must have a PCI Express slot.

3. Integrated Audio, VGA and LAN with four or more USB slots + 2 or 3 PCI
slots.

Which motherboard (from Intel or other branch) will be suitable for me to
buy.

Thanks,

Waiting in positive anticipation,

Quite impossible. Intel made lga775 socket debut with PCI Express
chipsets, and AFAIK the only intel chipset supporting both LGA775 and
478 socket is the i925xe. You should try to google about motherboards
mounting this chipset. Normally

Socket 478 > AGP
Socket 775 > PCI Express

I saw some 775 mobo with AGP connectors, but never 478 with PCI Express,
sorry.

Integrated VGAs normally don't allow Aero to run. Newer models barely
can do it, you're looking for an ageing one that simply won't fit your
needs.

Anyway, why should you be stuck with your poor old 478 pentium4, when
any more powerful entry-level newer processor would be less expensive
than a custom-made unpleasant and rare motherboard? And why woy should
look for a PCI Express motherboard, if you want integrated VGA? It's
contraddictory.
