Has anybody used this device and has opinions
pro or contra? I'm looking for the best quality scans
possible, and least possible manual work to scan
large quantities of negatives.
Is Plustek generally a good make?
TIA,
David

"Is Plustek generally a good make?"
Have you ever heard of it? Compare to Nikon/Canon/Minolta.

Please do a quick search of the forum for more info about this scanner
as the folks who have used it may or may not be still around.

They certainly don't spend as much on advertising as those
you mention. OTOH perhaps they put the money into product
development instead of product placement. All just perhaps,
I've no idea, that's why I was asking.

Thanks, I did so before posting.
The scanner has only been around for maybe 6 months,
and (apart from my post) there is only one other post on the
whole of usenet pertaining to it, in French.

David,

Try this link:

Or Google for more info.

If I were after the "best" scans without going to a pro or home drum
scanner, I'd check out Imacon:

http://www.imacon.dk/

Hope this helps,
Dave

Expect to see loads more reviews for the 7200i in AP, PP, Digital Photo
etc in February 2006.

Thanks for the info. Has anybody independantly measured the actual
or effective resolution of this scanner yet?

David.
