Plus Analog recorder problem

When trying to adjust the recording level, I click "Start" and the sound
level meter shows a sound level but after a minute or so a message pops up
that there is no detectable sound level. I tried to record anyway and after
2 minutes the recorder stops recording again claiming no detectable sound to
record. Any thoughts?

I *think* the deal is -- when you hit start you only get a minute or so
to set the levels, so you have to choose the loud part of the analog
recording *first*, then use Analog recorder to find the highest levels
*of the chosen portion*, and then record. You can't listen to the whole
song to find the peaks. It's dumb but that's how it is.

Tried that. The sound level meters are at the 50% and above level at the
*loudest* part. Analog recorder still says there is no detectable sound.

You mean, when you start actually recording (not just searching for
peaks), it stops by itself? Claiming there is no sound?

When searching for peaks it says no detectable sound to record. If I try to
record anyway after 2 minutes it stops recording claiming again there is no
detectable sound to record. All while the sound level meter is at 50% or
higher.
