I refill Canon ink cartridge by drilling a hole on the top.
I wonder where to find/buy tiny stoppers for the hole to seal it.

Indeed, I tried cello tape. Ink leaks from the bottom. I even tried to
seal with those tapes which used for shipping boxes.
Still it leaked. What kind of tape did you use? I will try your advise.

I use Blu-Tack, which works fine.
Dunno if it's available where you are or not, though.

You need a very sticky and flexible tape such as a good cloth duct tape -
the kind with the silver finish. Other tapes just won't work as well. Since
the hole is on the top, you could also use a set screw or hot melt glue to
seal the opening. If you (or anyone else) would like a copy of some simple
refill instructions I've created, please email the request to me. The file
is about 69kb and is in pdf format.

Blue-Tack. Never heard of it.
Who manufacture this stuff. I live in Arizona.

It's an office product, sort of a slightly sticky dry rubber putty, is
the best description I can think of atm. It's usually used for sticking
posters on walls and so on.
In the pack it's like a flat sheet of blue rubber, you tear off a small
piece and knead it until it's warmed up and totally flexible, then stick
it over the hole, smoothing it across to get a good seal.

Hi Ron,

Email sent to you was bounced back to me.
Could you please send your pdf file to (e-mail address removed)?

Thank you.

When I refill my Canon cartridges I hold them at a 45
degree angle. No ink comes out, no need to plug the
exit hole.

After refilling, the refilling hole on the top of the cart must be sealed.
Otherwise, ink will continuously flood out from the bottom by gravity.
I wonder how you could hold ink without plugging the hole.

I sealed mine with good quality electrical tape (NITTO tape brand)- it was
recommended by ink supplier and it holds just fine. (You can even choose the
color... :-))

Same problem here, I've made several attempts to email the file to the
address below. Each time the message is returned as rejected.

Is it worth the effort to refill the markets cheapest cartridges?

Is the refill ink better compared to other pirate inks?

I see no difference and price is more than halved - more like 1/4 of
originals.
