I am a hobbiest developer/video editor and I can't find a video editing
package that will allow me to apply a reverse effect to videos. Is there some
documentation on writing plugins for wmm so that I can add this feature to
wmm?

But its not posible to do a reverse effect whit standar xml effects, but
maby with new effect objects.

Hi Simon,

I have written a few plugins for Movie Maker using the information provided
at MSDN as mentioned by Danfah.

I have also been trying to find a way to do the reverse video effect but
this doesn't seem possible due to the way the plugin architecture works in
Movie maker. For reverse effect one needs to have access to all of the frame
in the video clip, but movie maker gives one frame at a time to the plugin
to do its work. This makes it impossible to reverse the order of the frames.
