I have three plug and play items on my updated Windows XP
machine; 40gb hard drive (2nd), Argus Camera, and an
iPod. I have previously upgraded from 98SE, but XP Home
will not recognize these items and keeps asking for
drivers that don't exist.
What happen to Plug and Play?

Thoughts?

If Windows is not seeing the second hard drive in Windows Explorer either

a) It's not formatted and partitioned (no version of Windows can 'see' and
unformatted drive.... right click on My Computer and select Manage, on the
following screen, select Disk Management, when it appears on the right hand
side of the screen, partition it and format it (if required) then assign it
a drive letter.

b) It's not correctly setup in the BIOS.

c) You may need to assign a drive letter to the iPod. Same procedure as in
a) above.

d) Check with the manufacturer's website as to whether it needs drivers.
Or whether it's even compatible with XP.
