The accountants in my office need printers and the ones we currently
are using don't meet their requirements, due to the lack of an actual
manual feed tray.
(The Dell 1600 has ony a single-sheet manual feed bypass slot, not a
tray. The accountants want to be able to stack several envelopes and
have them feed through. I think it's odd that printer design has
shifted away from manual feed trays to the single-sheet bypass slots.
Seems like a reduction in utility.)
Requirements:
Black & White laser
Reliable, sturdy
Network-capable
Uses high-yield cartridges (5,000 sheets)
Legal paper tray option preferred
Manual feed tray *a must* - should hold at least 20 sheets / envelopes
Prefer a straight-through paper path so envelopes do not curl
I'd like to stay under $500 and would consider used / refurb printers.
Thanks!
