I have a fairly new monitor 4 months old it has both
connection analog and digital , I also have a new video
card ATI 9800 pro and new DVI cable ... My problems is my
monitor will not boot up in digital signal ... Can
someone pls tell me why my retail version on xp pro isn't
noticing my digital signal ??? Is there a file or
whatever that needs to be working for digital signal ???
Thanks

If you installed the latest ATI drivers and still have the problem,
either your video card or monitor is defective. There is no
analog/digital setting itself in Windows XP that can be adjusted.
You should also visit the support web site of the manufacturer
of your monitor and search for any monitor drivers.

You *DO* need the driver for the monitor. It will allow adjustments and
functions of the monitor that the generic windows monitor driver do not
allow. I strongly urge you to download and install the latest monitor
drivers.
