Could someone please help?

Iexplorer wont open pages for me that contains a large amount of data such
as large discussion groups or Database type sites.
I am sure it is because of the amount of information on the page, as there
is a site i do research on which has several databases on it, and I have no
trouble opening the smaller pages but the larger ones either, freeze with a
"not responding" error message or the page opens but is blank. (I have
encountered the same problem on other sites as well)

Could someone please point me in the right direction to fix this problem?

Many thanks

Matt

Hi,
Try these two easy steps first...

Clear the IE cache. IE> Tools> Internet Options> General> Delete files (and
delete offline content when that dialog pops up) It's often recommended that
the TIF folder be kept at about 50-60 MB (Settings.)

[Assuming Windows XP]
Delete the Temporary Internet Files folder. A new folder will be created on
restart.
Make sure that you can see hidden files (Folder Options> View) Then
login as another user with administrator privileges, or from the machine's
default administrator account (startup in safe mode) and delete the affected
TIF folder from Windows Explorer. It will be at [C:\Documents and
Settings\username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files]

Hope this helps,

Hi Don,

Thanks for the help.. I have tried what you suggested but the problem still
exists. I have now also now tried upgrading to IE7 but it is also doing the
same.

If you have any other thoughts on it, they would be greatly appreciated

Regards

Matt

Hi,
Sorry... lost track of this. The only other possibility that comes to mind
is to work through the possible solutions for blank pages at

If you have a painfully slow connection to the internet (dial-up) this
