I have Win XP Professional with SP2. When I just reboot
or want to open any office file, or even email, it keeps
prompting me with "Please wait while WIndows configures
Microsoft WIndows XP Professional with FrontPage", then
it asks me to insert a WIndows XP Professional with
FrontPage disk. Why is it like that, and how to fix that ?
Thank you

I doubt that this is the exact wording.
Rather than "Microsoft WIndows XP Professional with FrontPage" it
should read "Microsoft Office XP Professional with FrontPage".

Insert your "Microsoft Office XP Professional with FrontPage" CD.

Insert your "Microsoft Office XP Professional with FrontPage" CD.

And leave it in there forever or get nagged for it every day. Either
that or re-install Office and make sure to tell it to Run All From My
Computer.

Thank you for your replies.
I put the Office CD in, and now it does not prompt me
anymore, although I haven't rebooted my machine yet.
I have another question, it nows keep prompting me the
following:
"WinPatrol New program alert - read carefully
A new startup setting has been detected.
This program will run each time you login or restart your
machine.
Do you approve the addition of this program startup
setting?
Press YES if this program expected and acceptable.

Microsoft WIndows Operating System
c:\windows\system32\ctfmon.exe
CTF Loader
Microsoft Corporation version 5.1.2600.2180

Is this a legitimate program, or is this some kind of
virus ?

Thank you.

Thanks.
I have earlier answered "No" to the question "Do you
approve the addition of this program startup setting?".
Is this ok ? Did it mean that I terminate the program ?

Thanks.

It probably disallowed it to execute. I don't use WinPatrol so I can't
say for certain. It won't cause any harm you just won't get the Office
XP Language Bar. Regardless, you will likely be nagged for the Office CD
again in the future and if you do as I suggested ealier which is to
re-install Office (may need to select Custom install type, can't recall
ATM for Office XP and I'm not about to do a re-install right now to
verify :) ) and make sure you select to Run All From Computer then it
should not happen again.
