Please Urgent help/camera

I recently bought a Labtec webcam 5.0.1 and it says it
works with windows xp messenger, but the camera itself
doesn't have the logo. I have been told that some cameras
replace archives from Windows xp damaging the well
functioning of the whole software... How can I know if
this will happend to me? Please if someone knows if this
new camera will do this to my system e-mail me, or at
least post a message (I'd prefer e-mail though). This is
urgent! I would only have a few days for giving it back
to the store...

Hi Paola,

Windows XP allows you to create system restore points
before installing software or devices like that camera so
in the event that a problem occurs, you can return your
system exactly the way it was before. Here's the info:

Save a restore point, install the software that came with
the camera, shut down, plug in the camera and boot up.
