Hello everyone,

I tried to use inetwiz to setup the internet and I realized that it wasn't
working. Please tell me that it's just me version of Windows Vista. I
would hate to think that they have gotten rid of inetwiz.

I have been in the Internet Technical support industry for a very long time.
One of the biggest time savers has always been to run inetwiz on a dial-up
acct. It has been included in every version of Windows since Windows 98.

In Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Internet Options, and choose the
"Connections" tab. Click on the Setup button, or click on the Add... button,
under Dial-up and VPN settings. (In previous versions of IE, these buttons
launched inetwiz.exe, which, as you have observed, is not part of Vista; but
a similar wizard appears).

Hope this helps,
Dean

If you're out to set up a new dial-up (or other Network connection)
click the Network and Sharing icon in Control Panel, and then choose
"set up a Network connection."

I had a feeling you would say that. I guess I am just going to have to live
with the fact that this option is not available in Vista. Speaking as a
technical phone representitive it is going to add on a few minutes to each
call that required me to run inetwiz. Why you might ask. It's simple.
When I ran inetwiz I had to get nothing from teh customer except that they
had a windows OS and wanted dial-up. Now I am going to have to ask what
Operating System they have. If they don't know then I will need to run
winver to find out. That's where the extra time when setting up dial-up
connections is going to go.
