I called microsoft and they told me to send all the nasty posts he has made
to (e-mail address removed).
If we will do this they will see something is up in here and ban him out.
Also the administrator in charge of this newsgroup, will be able to check
the database and find out who he is and notify his isp and also can bring
harrasement charges against him
I am asking all of you here to send his posts to (e-mail address removed). we
need to stick together to get rid of him,
This year, a new, quietly passed federal law apparently makes it a crime to
anonymously post messages online that "annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass."
In other words--as first pointed out by CNET's Declan McCullagh earlier this
week--anyone from bloggers to consumers venting their dissatisfaction on a
message board is potentially subject to liability.
It's against the law!
The following is a quote from "Staying Safe in Cyberspace":
"Harassment/cyber-stalking is a methodical, deliberate and persistent
communication that disturbs or frightens the victim. Most laws state that
harassment that continues after you have requested it stop and that the
perpetrator not contact you again, is considered to be stalking. Prison
terms can range from three years with a $10,000 fine (the sentence in
Illinois) to a maximum of 10 years (the sentence in Massachusetts). Your
local law enforcement agency can provide information regarding anti-stalking
laws in your state. According to the laws of Michigan, stalking is defined
as: .a 'willful course of conduct' involving repeated or continuing
harassment of another individual that would cause a reasonable person to
feel terrorized, frightened, intimidated, threatened, 'harassed' or molested
and that actually causes the victim to feel terrorized, frightened,
intimidated, threatened, harassed or molested."
If you feel you're being stalked or harassed you have an obligation to
report the person(s) who are doing this to you to the proper authoritities.
Also if microsoft doesn't remove him we can go here
http://www.wiredsafety.org/cyberstalking_harassment/help.html
and email (e-mail address removed). They deal with harrasement also.
