Hi All,
The problem appears when using the find option when searching for a user or
computer from within Active Directory Users and Computers.
The user or computer is found and listed in the results pane of the window.
The problem is when you right click on that user (or any other user or
computer) there isn't a "Properties" option at the bottom of the associated
actions that can be taken with this user account (Rename, Delete etc are
still listed) and the "rename" option is the default action, so that when
the user account is double clicked the rename window and not the properties
window is displayed. However this slightly different if the searched for
item is a computer as the "delete" option becomes the default action.
The "properties" option was there until approx a week ago.
If you manually drill down in to the OU's and find the user (or any user or
computer) and then right click you will see all the usual options including
the properties option which is the default, so it would appear that this
only happens within the find window !
Any ideas how or why this has happened and can it be fixed ?
Cheers
