Yeah, like this topic has a lot to do with hardware ... NOT!

This is probably a dumb question : what's all this ballyhoo about
gmail invites ? The term keeps popping up in unlikely places. I never
paid much attention after hearing about their introduction of 1GB
space. So what ? Rediff gives 1GB too without any fuss - takes just a
minute to register - and others provide 100MB. I must have missed
something.

I NEED IT!!!!

THANKS

(e-mail address removed)

another issue i must raise is why all the web based crap, why not just use a
pop3 account, it is much better, hard drive as your storage, for me that is
80 GB (never exceeds more than 2 GB when i clean it up once eery 6 months)

if you want a pop3 account just get some web hosting, or better still get it
off your ISP!

granted you cant access it anywhere, but most pop3 e mail providers offer a
web based service that can run alongside pop3 service.

gmail isnt all its cracked up to be.

It's like how the kids are wearing their pants halfway down their ass and
letting their underwear show, that's what.

Do one better: IMAP. Have all your messages in folders available to
your local mail client AND via the web.
gmail isnt all its cracked up to be.

It's a neat interface though.
