Since just a few days, as i was stoping some processes
from the task manager to free up some memory, whenever I
want to turn off my computer by going to start, turn off
computer, the computer will restart instead of shuting
down!!!

If you are aware of this issue and know a solution,
please be kind enough to reply. I m afraid to loose data
by having to turn it off by pushing to power button
everytime.

Thank you in advance,
Stephane

Go to Start > Run and type: MSCONFIG , and hit enter.
Click on the General tab and check "Normal Startup",
then click on "apply" and reboot.

You may check that nothing is jamming your reset switch
on your PC.
Hope this is helpful, I have previously had this problem
and found that this is what is was.
