FYI: I have Windows XP Professional

I accidently clicked yes on a prompt asking me to install some type of Optimizer from Roings Inc, and that slowed my machine down to turtle speed. I looked at Performance and my CPU is stuck at 100%, with explorer.exe at 98!! I booted in safe mode ran a scan on it with Spybot and removed all of the spyware on my machine. It runs fine in Safe Mode however every time I boot normally my CPU is back at 100% with explorer.exe at 98 or 99. What can I do to fix this issue? It is driving me crazy.

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

By the way I have a 2 Ghz processor and 256 MB of RAM

Also, I'm not trying to be rude with the Subject in all Caps, just desperate.

Go to run and type; msconfig . Go to startup tab and find the program that
you have mentioned. Uncheck it . press ok and reboot. This will stop the
program from starting at bootup. Find the program in Add and Remove Programs
and use the uninstall program provided. Jym
