I cannot get to any website which requires a password. I have no idea what
is causing this, and I cannot find anything in the Windows help files or on
the Windows website that matches this problem discription. I also recieve
the following error message when attempting to use the Windows Updater:
"Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this
page. As a result, this page may not be displayed properly."

.Windows update analyzes your computer via active x controls
In internet options>security>custom level see
if "Download signed active x controls" is set to disable
if so change this to prompt.
