I have Outlook 98 running on Windows 98. Here's my problem..

You know how when there is an email address in a document or on a web page and it is underlined or appears in blue font, normally when you click on it, a new mail message from Outlook will open with the email address alreay in the To: section. That use to work fine on my system, but something has changed. Now when I click on an email link, another instance of outlook opens up, not a new email message ready to write in. This is very annoying. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have disbaled all pop-up blockers on my system that I am aware of... no help

Thanks

KSB,

I am experiencing the same problem. Have you noticed that Roady did respond to your 1st call for help? I tried his suggestions (same as he gave you) but to no avail. I hope he has more ideas. My guess is that we will probably end up re-installing Outlook 98. I hope it does not come to that.

Either way – I wish you well. I know we both want to be able to respond again to email links as we used to be able to do.

Roady responded to my posting of, “Email Links not working for Outlook 98 with Windows 2000†dated Dec 14, 03. Isn’t it great to be able to call on experts like him who are willing to spend their time to help us resolve our problems?

Have a great day.
