Senator9,
You can fix the search settings using this fix:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/downloads/tools/IEFIX.reg (or)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/RestoreSearch2.REG
But the real problem is the spyware, and it won't take much time for the
spyware to corrupt your search preferences again. So, you need to download
all the spyware removal tools listed below, and run a full scan:
How to safe-guard my system from spyware?:

Note: Spyware removers are rules-based and are updated very frequently as
and when new malware is discovered. Therefore, update both of these tools
before scanning, very important.

I cant get my address bar to work. It seems everytime I
type in a webpage or something it comes up with
res://C:\DOCUME~1\Jarpy\LOCALS~1
\Temp\2.res/error.htm#
http://.
Not sure why its not showing my results as I have some
program on my pc called "mysearchnow" and although I
thought I had deleted it, its still there. How do I get
rid of it so I can use the address bar.
